R - Cuteness personified!!

If you're craving a bit of cuteness (and believe me that happens more often than you'd think) then head to Byron Bay and go to this little shop called In Annie's Pocket. It's actually the cutest thing ever! They sell one of a kind works from local designers and artists. They have everything; swimmers, clothes, accessories, the lot.
As well as selling cute stuff the people that work there are cute. They'll get you to try clothes on and do a fashion parade around the shop, it's great :) You can spend all day in there, trying on clothes and chatting to the staff. And if you get hungry the Byron Bay doughnut store is next door. If you haven't tried one of these doughnuts then put it on your list of things to do.
Anyway In Annie's Pocket is the perfect place to go if you're looking for a special little something. Whether it be a gift for someone or the perfect dress, you'll find it there. And it'll be one of a kind too which makes it even better!!

J- Current Obsession: Tattoos

I am currently loving tattoos. Like majorly. Not the big, tacky, Homer Simpson ones, or the huge vine of roses crawling up some fat, old lady's arm (fugly much??), but the sort you see on grungy little European chicks... think tanned, petite, curly brown hair, wearing a floral dress, faded denim jacket, with a little Jesus-esque cross on her tiny calf, poking out the top of a pair of worn-in Docs. Specific, I know, but vair cool, dont you think?

I really would love a tattoo. Something small, simple, and timeless. And pretty, of course. But I so cant. Not now at least. Why? Well, partly, because darling Mutti and Vutti would kill me. And partly because I am a Rotary Exchange student and disfigurment (aka. peircings and tattoos) are strictly forbidden. Oh and then ther is the fact that I am rather large, and only semi tanned, and blondish, and though I have a great pair of Doc Martens, my calves are way too massive for embellishments of any kind (there is no way I am drawing attention to those things!!) So, until I've solved these few problems, I'll have to go tattoo free :(

I love Sienna Miller's bird tattoo :)

R - Winter

For those of us here in Australia Winter is almost upon us. Sometimes the word Winter leads to thoughts of cold, wet feet and the rain making your hair frizzy. Well I'm here to give you a little reminder of the things to love about winter.

1. Fashion wise we have coats, trenches, jackets, jeans, stocking, boots, scarves, gloves, long socks, trackies and jumpers. Who doesn't enjoy snuggling up in track pants, or getting dressed up in a cute jacket and boots!
2. Hot chocolates, Chai lattes, Coffee, just hot drinks in general. They give you warm feeling in your stomach and never fail to lift the spirits on a wet miserable day.
3. Rain dates. Just go for it, run in the rain and get soaking, then go back inside and team my first two dot points together - Trackies & a hot chocolate.

So when it comes down to it, Winter is actually an awesome three months. The clothes, the food and weather too. So don't dread its arrival, prep for it. Its a great excuse to go on a little shopping excursion. I think the wardrobe staples to survive the season are : a nice jacket, stockings (countless pairs), a pair of jeans, a scarf, a big granny jumper and some boots.
