Because Lists Are Vair Practical....

I love a good list. They are very practical, vair practical, and possibly even tres practical. Do not you think?

So here is a list of the 5 most perfectly crafted songs of all time..

1. Under Pressure- Queen and David Bowie
2. Yellow- Coldplay
3. Never Tear Us Apart- INXS
4. One Crowded Hour- Augie March
5. Life on Mars?- David Bowie

And, of course, The Beatles' whole catalogue of work.. particularly Let It Be and Hey Jude.

Agreeance? And if not, suggestions please?

:)

R - Fashion Profile: Cher

Cher (the main character from the movie Clueless) is a rich, gorgeous blonde with a computerised outfit matcher! She puts together a number of a fabulous outfits that I simply adore. Her Beverly Hills style is reflected in various shades of tartan and plaid and some classic black and white outfits.
A mix of preppy and slutty create Clueless' unique style. Seriously short is taken to a new level in this film, but it doesn't matter cause the clothes are just so cute! Also they're not short to be slutty but simply stylish, they still look dignified and classy.

I think Cher's trademark pieces are her matching blazers and skirts teamed with high socks. They're preppy and look so good on her :) Cher even matches her chewing gum to her outfit, honestly how many people are there who're that dedicated to their outfit!

One of my favourite outfits from the movie is the one she wears when she realises she's in love with Josh. Its a collared white shirt with a black blazer, a patterned skirt teamed with white knee highs and silver shoes.

If you haven't already seen the movie I would recommend hiring it out and watching it. It's funny, stylish and is a cute teenage romance. So seriously, go watch it!!

R - My future Hubby

So Tom Daley is who I'm planning on marrying. He doesn't know it yet but that's completely beside the point.
He was youngest diver on the British Olympic team last year, has an 8 pack (in my mind anyway) and has a British accent (obviously since he's British, ruh reader ruh). Oh and in case you were wondering yes he is actually older than me although he can look quite young at times :)

FREDDIE MCLAIR IS PERFECT

J- Current obsession: Yves Klein Blue

If you haven't heard of Australian band, Yves Klein Blue, then please stop thinking about what you are going to have for lunch, or how to awesomify yourself for that boy who sits next to you in class (thats what I think about most of the time..), and focus on the next few paragraphs. You wont regret it. Promise.

So, once upon a time 4 young Brisbane boys- Michael Tomlinson, Sean Cook, Chris Banham, and Charles Sale- decided to get together and make some music. Since those early days, they have adopted the name Yves Klein Blue, played a gazillion gigs at home in Oz, as well as around the world, and, in June 2009, released their (incredibly flawless) debut album Ragged & Ecstatic . And they are only just getting started!! Hopefully, in a few years time, the constantly growing Australian fan base will have gone global. These guys deserve it, they really do, with their quirky indie-punk sound, their witty lyrics, and the amazing ability frontman, Michael Tomlinson, has to make one song fun and carefree and the next completely meaningful and raw with feeling.

Check out the link below to have a listen to my favourite YKB track, About the Future, then go and buy the album Ragged & Ecstatic!! Hek, you could even download it too. Why? Why not, I always say. ENJOY.

R - On a High!!!

I love it when one little thing happens and it puts you on a high for the next 24 hours.
Like today at work this Indian guy came in and actually said to me 'How you doin?' and he did the head nod and everything. Or if you see the cutest couple ever do a full on Moulin Rouge kiss!
Its things like that that give me licence to scream and sigh as much as I want with a legitimate excuse :)

J- Yes, I'm Yakking On

Okay, so I'm a fairly romantic person. I cry in all the films, read Jane Austen religiously, and go totally jelloid at the sight of a very cute couple being very cute. I just love love! I love that classic, Pride & Prejudice, boy-meets-girl, boy-likes-girl, girl-rejects-boy, girl-realises-love-for-boy, boy-and-girl-get-married-and-live-happily-ever-after sort of love. And I love that sad, passionate, truely true, Romeo & Juliet sort of love. My new favourite is that wonderful, confuse, angry yet beautiful love... the sort that you'd expect to happen with teenagers or in an episode of Skins (Freddie & Effie? Cassie & Sid? Michelle & Tony? Ruh reader Ruh!) Its the sort of love where you are fighting, but you dont know why, and you are yelling at eachother, and crying, and its not physical violence, just screaming for no reason, and then you run outside onto the street, and its night time, and its raining and you angrily scream 'What do you want from me?!! What is it? What??' and he screams back ' I FUCKING LOVE YOU!! Okay.. I love you' And then there is this great silence and you are just staring at eachother, perfectly still, your tears fading away into the rain, and its just so lovely. Like, really Wow. I love that love. Its great.

R- MY OBSESSION

At the moment I am loving DIY fashion. My sister and i plan on tye dyeing our stockings, I don't know how well that will work but we'll see.
My dads clothes have become my newest victims. He cleared out his wardrobe and i stole everything and chopped it all up to make some actually decent clothes.
Mutti remains my constant source of creativity. Her clothes provide me with hours of entertainment.
Cutting, belting, dying and repairing; those things are how basically my entire wardrobe came to be in existence.

- I made this bow using the strap from an old dress.

I found an old pair of jeans and im not sure what to do with them yet. I'm tossing up between cutting them and making them shorts but I think I'll bleach them (cause they're a gross grey colour) and put some rips in them :)

Dress - mums old skirt that i had a bit of a tamper with :)
Belt - Vinnies!!

J- Current Obsession: Sharpies

Ruby bought me a pack of coloured mini Sharpie markers for my 16th birthday. Blue, pink, orange, green, and purple. Wonderful. They quite literally write on anything. Trust me, I tested it. Infact, I wrote on my wall, my desk, my school bag, my hand (MAKE TRADE FAIR), my mirror, my copy of 'Emma', my computer, and my tee shirt. And then I bought a lovely, clear umbrella and Ruby and I began writing, drawing, and scribbling all over it :) Gotta love Sharpies.

J- Fashion Inspiration: Doctor Who

So, last Sunday Australia said good-bye to David Tennant's wonderful rendition of Doctor Who. Though it was sad to see him go, I feel that his legacy will live on for years to come. Never has there been a Doctor that cool. The Converse sneakers, the long trench coat, the funky vests, and the collared shirts... David Tennant gave The Doctor a sense of style! Ah well, Matt Smith, who is set to play the 11th Doctor, looks as if he will have a new, exciting interpretation for all of us fans to love. I can't wait. WATCH THIS SPACE.
